Case Study: Ferrari F48
This stunning Ferrari F48 started life as a Ferrari 348 and was heavily modified by German tuners Koenig. Twin turbo's were added boosting power to over 520BHP and the body work was over hauled, lowering and widening the stance as well as adding the huge wing. The standard 348 front brakes were now over worked so the private individual approached ST for a carbon-ceramic solution. The front brakes were increased in diameter but still fit in the existing rims. Coupled with the powerful MOV'IT caliper the system now handles the immense power, even on the track. The owner not only uses the car on the road but regularly takes part in track days and single make racing. The customer was immediately impressed by the increased braking power and firm pedal feel of the system. The braking performance, even during racing in heavy rain, has given him increased confidence to push and enjoy his vehicle under all conditions. A weight saving of 6Kg per disc was achieved even with the increase in diameter. This gives a saving of 12Kg from the un-sprung mass and rotating inertia from the front discs alone. Additional Images
